Caitlin Naramore partnered with Jim Pavett at Allusion Studios in Tucson, AZ, to create her debut album. Starting with lyrics, melodies, and a clear vision, but challenges describing it, Caitlin’s project evolved through expert guidance. Jim’s electrical engineering precision and musician’s ear transformed her ideas into a polished electronica sound, producing an album and multiple music videos.

Starting the Journey

Caitlin arrived with raw ideas for her Tucson recording session. Jim Pavett began with one song, hiring top studio musicians for drums, bass, guitar, and Caitlin’s vocals. Though solid, it didn’t match her vision. Through trial and error, Jim uncovered her desire for an electronica vibe over organic instruments.

Discovering the Sound

Jim Pavett muted the live drums and bass, layering electronic drums, synth bass, and atmospheric sounds. Caitlin was ecstatic—this was her sound! Jim’s 40+ years of experience quickly unlocked the formula, blending technical expertise with creative intuition to realize her electronica vision.

Completing the Album & Videos

With the direction set, Caitlin recorded a full album at Allusion Studios. Jim produced seamless tracks, capturing her unique style. The project expanded to multiple music videos, showcasing her artistry. Caitlin’s album stands as a testament to Jim’s ability to guide artists from idea to professional results.
