Recorded at Allusion Studios in Tucson, AZ
The Recording Academy nominated Beyond Words for Best New Age Album at the 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards. The project features artists Gentle Thunder, Will Clipman, and AmoChip Dabney.
Jim Pavett engineered and recorded most of the tracks at Allusion Studios in Tucson, Arizona. The album blends grand hammer dulcimer, Native American flutes, drums, bass, soprano sax, piano, and percussion.
The artists wrote and performed the music live in the studio. After capturing the main structure, they layered additional instruments to enrich the sound. The spontaneous approach created an eclectic and immersive listening experience.
The 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. CBS will broadcast the show live in high‑definition TV and 5.1 surround sound from 8–11:30 p.m.
